Most of us understand what a bad diet can do to our bodies but a lot of us don’t realize what the toxic chemicals are doing to us that we use to clean and freshen our homes and more importantly what they do to our kids.
I know, I use to roll my eyes when people talked about this stuff because I didn’t what to even think about it, but after having my thyroid, adrenals and hormones start to fail I started researching again. We removed all toxic cleaners from our home a few years ago when I realized what they were doing to my daughter.
Many cleaners contain things called xenoestrogens which are chemicals that act like the hormone estrogen. When these chemicals get into our bodies (by being absorbed on our feet, breathed in, etc..) they mimic our natural hormones and block our bodies receptors and then we get all kinds of issues. Serious issues like little girls starting their cycles at 3 years old (yes it happens) or fertility issues or PCOS or little boys growing breasts. Other things like weight gain, fatigue, thyroid issues…I could go on but I think you get it.
So what can we do about it. I know it might seem overwhelming but its not. This is where I give you some easy to follow, practial advice. Switch to Young Living’s Thieves Household Cleaner. You can clean literally everything with it and not have to worry about jacking up your hormones. And yes, it actually cleans because I’ve tried other natural cleaners and they did not do the job.
